Position Summary

The Content and Social Media Coordinator is responsible for creating engaging, high-quality content that strengthens the Big Red family of brands, drives customer engagement, and supports business growth across digital channels.

This role serves as the primary content creator for the organization, producing compelling photography, video, graphics, and written content that showcases our restaurants, gaming experiences, community involvement, sponsorships, and events. The position manages day-to-day social media operations while collaborating with the Vice President of Marketing to execute strategic campaigns that increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and loyalty.

The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller with strong organizational skills who enjoys being in the field, capturing authentic moments, creating engaging content, and building meaningful connections with our customers and communities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Content Creation

  • Develop, produce, and publish engaging content across all Big Red brands, including restaurants, gaming locations, and community initiatives.
  • Capture high-quality photography and video at restaurant locations, events, promotions, sponsorships, and community activities.
  • Create short-form video content for Instagram Reels, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Design graphics and marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design platforms.
  • Write compelling copy for social media, websites, email campaigns, blogs, advertisements, and promotional materials.
  • Develop content that aligns with seasonal campaigns, promotions, new menu items, jackpots, special events, and company initiatives.
  • Build and maintain a library of branded photography, video, and creative assets for future marketing use.

Social Media Management

  • Develop and execute daily social media content across multiple brands and locations.
  • Manage content calendars and scheduling through social media management platforms.
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, reviews, and customer conversations while maintaining each brand's voice.
  • Build active online communities by encouraging engagement and fostering customer relationships.
  • Identify emerging social media trends and recommend new content opportunities.
  • Coordinate user-generated content and influencer collaborations when appropriate.

Community & Brand Storytelling

  • Attend company events, sponsorships, community partnerships, grand openings, and special promotions to capture content in real time.
  • Highlight employee stories, customer experiences, and community partnerships through engaging digital storytelling.
  • Work closely with restaurant managers and operations teams to identify local marketing opportunities.
  • Support fundraising initiatives and community outreach through strategic content creation.
  • Assist with media opportunities, public relations initiatives, and special announcements.

Digital Marketing Support

  • Assist with website updates, landing pages, blogs, and promotional content.
  • Support search engine optimization initiatives through optimized digital content.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns and promotional communications.
  • Coordinate digital assets for advertising campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all customer touchpoints.

Marketing Operations

  • Maintain marketing calendars and project timelines.
  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, photographers, printers, and media partners.
  • Assist with promotional materials, signage, point-of-sale materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Support new location openings, product launches, and special marketing initiatives.

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor and report on social media performance, audience growth, website traffic, and campaign engagement.
  • Analyze customer behavior and content performance to optimize future strategies.
  • Track key performance indicators and prepare monthly marketing reports.
  • Recommend improvements based on engagement data, trends, and customer insights.
