Wiginton Fire Systems is seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Inspector to join our team serving the Melbourne / Palm Bay, Florida area.

Position Summary

The Fire Sprinkler Inspector is responsible for performing scheduled inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and water-based fire protection systems. This position requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while providing professional service to our customers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspections and testing of fire sprinkler and water-based fire protection systems in accordance with applicable NFPA standards and local requirements.
  • Identify and accurately document system deficiencies and recommended corrective actions.
  • Complete inspection reports and required documentation accurately and on time using electronic inspection reporting systems.
  • Communicate inspection results, deficiencies, and system conditions professionally with customers and appropriate team members.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of applicable NFPA standards, codes, and inspection requirements.
  • Safely operate company vehicles, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain an organized work schedule and effectively manage assigned inspections.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and service of fire sprinkler systems as needed.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in overtime and occasional on-call responsibilities based on customer and operational needs.


Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in fire sprinkler inspection, service, or a closely related fire protection role.
  • Certification:
    NICET Level II or equivalent certification in Inspection and Testing of Water-Based Systems required.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong working knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, inspection and testing procedures, applicable NFPA standards, tools, materials, and system components.
  • Ability to accurately identify and document system deficiencies.
  • Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and electronic inspection reporting systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned inspections, and maintain an organized schedule with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements associated with fire sprinkler inspection work.
