Job description

BendTec, LLC has an exciting opportunity available for a Production Assistant to be an integral part of our Fabrication team.  WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Help direct and coordinate the activities of employees engaged in the machining and prepping of piping materials for fabrication.
  • Provide input and help plan work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
  • Confer with Production Manager to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
  • Observe work and monitor materials as they pass through the production process, provide input to the Production Manager with regards to delays, issues or bottlenecks.  
  • Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.
  • Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
  • Maintain operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management reports of production results.
  • Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED): Preferred
  • Experience: 1-2 years – Trained on Site!
  • Computer Skills: None specifically required
  • Certifications & Licenses: Valid driver’s license
  • Other Requirements: Ability to pass forklift training; knowledge of piping materials (visual and descriptions)
