Functional Medicine & Longevity Physician

Location: El Segundo, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $250,000-$300,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Functional Medicine & Longevity Physician to join a progressive, multidisciplinary wellness practice in El Segundo, CA. This physician will provide highly personalized, preventive, and lifestyle-focused care to adults seeking proactive health optimization, disease prevention, and longevity.

The ideal candidate is passionate about functional medicine, advanced diagnostics, root-cause medicine, and emerging longevity therapies and enjoys building long-term relationships in a high-touch, concierge-style environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care and functional medicine consultations, including scheduled and same-day appointments.

  • Develop personalized health and wellness plans based on individual goals, medical history, biomarkers, and advanced diagnostic testing.

  • Utilize functional testing such as genomics, hormone metabolism, gut microbiome, metabolomics, and other advanced diagnostics.

  • Focus on cardiometabolic health, hormone optimization, gut health, inflammation, recovery, aging, and performance.

  • Provide or oversee appropriate therapies including HRT, peptide therapy, IV therapy, nutrient infusions, and blood draws.

  • Build trusted, long-term relationships with patients through a high-touch, personalized care model.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including NPs, MAs, health coaches, nutritionists, physical therapists, psychotherapists, trainers, and other wellness professionals.

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the EMR.

  • Stay current with advances in functional medicine, longevity science, regenerative medicine, prevention, and nutrigenomics.

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and expand innovative medical and wellness programs.

Patient Population

Primarily high-functioning adults ages 40-70 seeking proactive, personalized care focused on:

  • Hormone health

  • Gut health

  • Metabolic and cardiometabolic health

  • Autoimmune support

  • Performance optimization

  • Preventive medicine

  • Longevity and healthy aging

QualificationsRequired
  • MD or DO degree.

  • Active, unrestricted California medical license.

  • Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

  • Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in primary care.

  • Completion of or current enrollment in a Functional or Integrative Medicine program such as IFMCP, A4M, ABIHM, or equivalent.

  • Experience with HRT, peptides, longevity therapeutics, and root-cause medicine.

  • Strong foundation in lifestyle, preventive, and functional medicine.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Comfortable working with technology, EMR systems, and advanced healthcare tools.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in direct primary care, concierge, or membership-based medicine.

  • Background in performance medicine, nutrition science, or biohacking.

  • Familiarity with DEXA, VO₂ max, RMR, continuous glucose monitoring, and metabolic testing.

  • Additional state medical licenses for telehealth.

  • Experience with regenerative or performance medicine modalities.

  • Familiarity with peptides, exosomes, cellular optimization, or other longevity-focused therapies.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and enthusiasm for developing innovative healthcare programs.
