What you will be doing:

TheLogistics Projects Americas Director oversees a portfolio of Distribution & Transportation projects valued between $10M and $50M. By applying a disciplined project management framework, they drive D2C transformation, optimize operational costs, and integrate advanced IT systems to strengthen regional supply chain resilience. The covered area of responsibility is USA, Canada, Mexico,
(with participation and support in global projects possible). Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to the Amer Sports global strategy, with primary focus on NAM project management
  • Architect, orchestrate, and lead high-impact regional supply chain initiatives, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
  • Develop and champion robust project concepts and business cases, maintaining rigorous control over quality, cost, scope, and timelines through deep-dive data analytics.
  • Spearhead project realization with end-to-end accountability for financial budgets, resource allocation, IT infrastructure, and final strategic decisions.
  • Monitor the project success after the realization / GoLive
  • Drive project hyper care following the GoLive until projects are properly handed over through established RACI to the internal customers
  • Establish rigorous tracking and monitoring framework to manage risk, prioritize workstreams, and provide transparent communication to executive stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and propose transformational improvements to optimize supply chain efficiency and scalability.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing regional project management team, with a scope primarily focused on North America (NAM) and opportunities to influence global strategy across Europe and Asia; consisting of 4 team members across USA, CAN, and MEX.
What you need to succeed:

This role requires a minimum of 10+ years progressive experience in Logistics / Warehousing / Transport, with contribution to significant logistics projects such as warehouse extension, warehouse automation and 8+ years prior experience managing a team. A master’s degree in supply chain, Logistics or Engineering preferred; bachelor’s degree plus equivalent and extended working experience may be considered. Other qualifications include:

Technical Skills
  • Deep subject matter expertise in Logistics, Warehousing, and Transportation operations and processes.
  • Advanced proficiency in Project Management methodologies is required; official PMI/PMP certification is highly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Supply Chain Management integrated with Lean and Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Working knowledge of occupational safety standards and regulatory compliance within a warehouse environment.
  • Expert user of SAP (ECC, S/4, EWM), Power BI, and Visio, with experience across various Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong data analysis capabilities with advanced command of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered a significant asset for regional collaboration
