Position

Reporting to the Manager of Client Learning Programs, the Client Learning Programs Specialist supports the development and delivery of engaging, web-based learning experiences that strengthen client skills and advance the mission of Hire Heroes USA. The Specialist creates and maintains a variety of learning resources, including one-pagers, guides, explainer videos, online courses, presentations, and specialized learning pathways aligned with skills-based initiatives.

This role also supports the administration and ongoing optimization of the learning management system, identifies opportunities to improve learning processes and resources, and implements solutions that enhance the accessibility, consistency, and effectiveness of client learning. The Specialist is expected to work independently, collaborate across teams, and translate program needs into practical, engaging learning experiences.

This is a full-time, 1-year contract position with a hybrid work schedule. The role may be extended contingent upon grant funding. Applicants must reside within commuting distance of our office locations in Alpharetta, GA, Colorado Springs, CO, or Raleigh, NC.

Responsibilities:

Learning Administration

  • Track, analyze, and report Client Learning Program data and outcomes, translating results into clear insights for internal stakeholders.
  • Manage and accurately document learning-related requests and activities within Salesforce and the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support the planning, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing management of virtual learning offerings, including on-demand courses, live events, digital credentials and badging, and skills-based learning initiatives.
  • Coordinate day-to-day virtual event operations for hosts, presenters, and panelists, including platform setup, event production, live-session support, recording management, and reporting; escalate technical or presenter-related issues as appropriate.
  • Maintain consistent communication with staff to promote Client Learning Program offerings, increase awareness and utilization, and identify opportunities to improve content, messaging, functionality, and the client experience.

Content Development & Management

  • Develop, edit, and maintain engaging digital learning content, including videos, one-pagers, guides, presentations, visual aids, reference materials, courses, and learning pathways in collaboration with department leaders and subject matter experts.
  • Support the Manager of Client Learning Programs in facilitating focus groups and cross-functional collaboration related to grant-funded initiatives, specialized learning pathways, and new content development.
  • Create and maintain clear procedural guides and supplemental resources while responding to content-related questions and recommending improvements based on client and organizational needs.
  • Conduct routine quality assurance reviews of LMS content, learning pathways, trackers, requests, and reports to ensure data accuracy, content quality, functionality, and an optimized end-user experience.
  • Maintain knowledge of emerging learning technologies, skills-based hiring practices, instructional design approaches, and industry best practices through certifications, professional development, research, and relevant publications.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in Learning and Development, including administration and support of Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Extensive experience with Salesforce and advanced technical proficiency, with the ability to quickly learn new platforms, troubleshoot issues, and support end users.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, subject matter experts, presenters, and organizational stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Slides, and Docs, as well as Microsoft Excel and spreadsheet development, management, and reporting.
  • Experience developing and editing digital and visual content using Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including Acrobat and Illustrator, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams and with individuals at varying levels of seniority.
  • Reliable home-office setup and internet connectivity capable of supporting virtual meetings, live events, video streaming, and web-based learning platforms.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, innovation, and improving the client learning experience through technology and effective learning practices.
  • Strong commitment to the mission of Hire Heroes USA and a passion for supporting veterans and military spouses in achieving meaningful career outcomes.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
