As a Center Director at New Creations Child Care & Learning Center, youโ€™ll lead a dedicated team of early childhood professionals to deliver high-quality, faith-based education that supports each childโ€™s social, emotional, and academic growth. Youโ€™ll be the driving force behind enrollment success, staff development, and regulatory excellence- empowered to make a lasting impact on children, families, and your community.ย 

Key Responsibilities:
Center Operations:ย Oversee daily operations, budgets, and compliance with DCYF licensing and Parent Aware standards.
Staff Leadership:ย Onboard and coach a team of educators while fostering a positive, professional culture.
Family Engagement:ย Build strong relationships with families through communication, events, and proactive support.
Program Excellence:ย Collaborate with leadership to meet organizational goals, grow enrollment, and maintain high-quality programming.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
โ€ขย Must be at least 18 years old and Associates Degree in a related field isย required; Bachelor's Degreeย preferred
โ€ข Must be Teacher qualified under DCYF Rule 3 Standards. Official transcripts of all post-secondary work required.
โ€ข Minimum of five years of experience as a Lead Teacher or two to three years of leadership experience in another career field preferred.
โ€ข State DHS background check and fingerprints shall determine that the applicant has not been โ€œconvicted of a felony... has no criminal record that the commissioner reasonably believes renders the person unsuitable to be employed in a child care center.โ€
โ€ข Certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid & CPR completed within 30 days of employment.
โ€ข Must complete all required DCYF Orientation Training on first day of employmentย 

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS
With or without reasonable accommodation this position requires:
โ€ข Ability to travel on an ongoing basis.
โ€ข Extensive standing and walking; sitting on the floor and on low (12โ€) chairs.
โ€ข Frequent bending, stooping, and kneeling.
โ€ข Lifting and carrying children extensively in the infant/toddler program; less frequently in the preschool program, but the children are heavier.
โ€ข Frequent moving of equipment (cots, tables, etc.).
โ€ข Pushing children in buggies, strollers, and walking for considerable periods.
โ€ข The necessity of being outdoors in varying weather conditions.
โ€ข Exposure to unpleasant odors and fluids caused by vomit (occasional) and bodily elimination.
โ€ข Relatively frequent exposure to loud noises (baby crying, toys falling and other common occurrences of children at play).
