Job Summary
Reporting into both the Director of Instructional Design, this role works across the Learning and Development Center of Excellence (L&D COE) to create interactive media content for learning curriculum.
Job Description
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES - what you will be doing (top five):
  • Consultancy: Leads or supports consultations with stakeholders and subject matter experts to define key objectives and design effective learning solutions that address specific organizational needs.
  • Project Management: Tracks instructional design projects including timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder engagement. Works collaboratively with Lead Instructional Design Specialist for prioritization support and guidance.
  • Design and Development: Creates engaging instructional materials, including both computer-based and instructor-led content, course curricula, reference guides, and training manuals, utilizing multi-media digital authoring tools.
  • Continuous Improvement: Refines materials based on stakeholder and user feedback, ensuring that learning content is both effective, accurate, and user friendly. Stays informed about instructional design trends and promotes a culture of continuous learning.
  • Evaluation: Reviews instructional materials for quality and alignment with learning outcomes. Collaborates with Instructional Design and Learning Enablement teammates to measure training effectiveness.
  • Culture Building: Fosters strong relationships with stakeholders and demonstrates organizational values, contributing positively to team dynamics.

QUALIFICATIONS - what you need to perform the job.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in relevant field required.
  • Preferred: Instructional design or other related certifications are a plus.

EXPERIENCE (minimum years required):
  • Required: 3-5 years relevant experience in implementing interactive media within communications or learning products.
  • Preferred:

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic project management skills with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with instructional design software and digital authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a team-oriented approach.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and best practices.
  • Ability to apply creativity to work product, exhibits passion for learning.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with graphic design, audio/video editing, gamification, AI and/or machine learning a plus.
  • Familiarity with healthcare industry a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (include special requirements, e.g., lifting, travel):
  • Must be able to work under normal office conditions and work from home as required.
  • Work may require simultaneous use of a telephone/headset and PC/keyboard and sitting for extended durations.
  • May be required to work additional hours beyond standard work schedule.

Salary Range
$66,156.29 -$99,234.43

The actual salary for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope and complexity of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; as well as internal equity. Eligibility for any bonus, commission, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits remains in the Company's sole discretion and may be modified at the Company's sole discretion, consistent with the law.
