By joining this groundbreaking venture, you'll contribute to shaping the future of in-vehicle experiences and leave an indelible mark on an emerging automotive legacy.
Are you ready to drive innovation and directly impact the user experience in the electric vehicle space? We are seeking a talented and experienced engineer to lead the design and development of critical in-vehicle audio systems. This is an extraordinary opportunity to work from the ground up, bringing state-of-the-art audio components to life for an exciting new line of all-electric vehicles. You will be instrumental in creating an immersive and high-quality audio environment, directly impacting customer satisfaction and the overall driving experience, leaving an indelible mark on the future of mobility.
What You'll Do
  • Lead the electrical hardware design for all in-vehicle audio components, including speakers and amplifiers, from initial concept through virtual development, rigorous testing, sign-off, and manufacturing launch for all-electric vehicles.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and finance teams to craft technical specifications that support the quoting and sourcing processes.
  • Partner with key suppliers, internal module owners, and lead design & release engineers to ensure the successful release of all audio components.
  • Contribute to a diverse, collaborative, and high-performance team culture, fostering continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Execute virtual and physical verification testing, including comprehensive field testing.
  • Actively participate in critical engineering activities such as DFMEA, ISO 26262, and Worst Case Circuit Analysis to uphold the highest engineering standards for your components.
  • Ensure all designs rigorously comply with safety standards and relevant government regulations.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze consumer experience to propose continuous system improvements.
  • Contribute your expertise to the design of production facilities for future vehicles.
  • Strategically manage supplier resources to deliver components and systems that consistently meet cost, timing, and quality objectives.

What You'll Bring
We seek individuals with integrity, curiosity, and resourcefulness, who embody a positive attitude and a growth mindset. You'll be comfortable with change, flexible in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, and take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals.
Must-Have Qualifications

  • Strong technical skills and expertise in in-vehicle systems, employing a Six Sigma approach to engineering design and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with computer-aided engineering (CAE) or direct experience in this field.
  • Comprehensive understanding of in-vehicle system interactions with chassis, drive, On-Board Diagnostics (OBD), communications, and audio systems.
  • Proven ability to build strong working relationships with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Practical knowledge of in-vehicle system validation and verification processes and tools.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Experience working within a large automotive group.
