Core Responsibilities
  • Process & Efficiency Optimization: Analyze manufacturing processes, production data, and equipment performance to identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, throughput, and cost.
  • Operational Support & Troubleshooting: Provide day-to-day engineering support for operations; partner with Maintenance and Quality teams to troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead or support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives (waste reduction, standard work, and process optimization).
  • Documentation & Training: Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications; train production staff and supervisors on new procedures and equipment.
  • Capital & Project Support: Support capital projects, production trials, process changes, and new equipment installations, including commissioning and startup activities.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor key manufacturing performance metrics (KPIs) to track improvement results and identify operational risks.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (preferred).
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, or automated material handling environments.
  • Methodologies: Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, root-cause analysis, and Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Certifications: Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certification is a plus.
Important Technical Skills
  • PLCs & Control Systems: Familiarity with Allen-Bradley PLC platforms, FactoryTalk, HMIs, VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networking.
  • Troubleshooting: Electrical controls, instrumentation, robotics, vision systems, and automated equipment.
  • Automation Systems: Experience with automated material handling, conveyors, sortation systems, AGVs/AMRs, or ASRS equipment.
