Wine Director
Knightsbridge Restaurant Group owner of Rasika, Annabelle, and Rosselli among others, is seeking a Wine Manager to join one of our award winning restaurant group.Our sophisticated concepts are led by James Beard Award Wining chefs and critically acclaimed Chefs.
We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, highly motivated and passionate skilled Wine Manager to join our team of likeminded hospitality professionals.
The Wine Manager will be responsible for spearheading and developing and maintaining the entire Beverage program, managing all wine selections and tasting, creating and managing the wine menu, overseeing all wine-related staff education and training, and handling wine inventory.
The Wine Manager will require excellent people skills, dedication, love of wine, food and service. The Wine Manager will also be responsible for maintaining and helping with floor service and daily managerial operations.
The ideal candidate should have at least three years experience in a similar role.
- Specific knowledge of Purchasing, Receiving, Maintenance, Inventory, Cash handling procedures and controls
- Direct supervision of the front-of-house employees on a daily basis, ensuring policies and processes are being followed and inspecting operational flow on a continuous basis.
- Responsible for overseeing the floor during service and events; ensuring the team stays on task and delegating assignments as needed.
- Communicate with chef team and BOH on keeping menus up to date and 86'd items throughout service if necessary.
- Ensure guest satisfaction; interacting with guests and engaging in service recovery when issues arise.
- Comply with HR practices and policies and hold employees accountable for all standards and procedures including interviewing, onboarding, and training new employees
- Proactiveness in reaching our Company goals in sales, service, appearance; while creating a positive, fun and productive working environment.
- Ensure compliance with department of health standards, maintaining superior cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant.
- Computer literacy with knowledge in managing Point of Sale Systems, Reservation Systems, Restaurant Management Software, HRIS and Recruitment Software
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
- Maximize event revenue when determining menus, offering menu upgrades
