What We Need:

Total Traffic & Weather Network (TTWN) has an immediate opening for an Operations Manager (OM) based in Atlanta, GA. This position is a high demand job at a 24/7 operation.

What You'll Do:

TTWN Atlanta provides traffic and news information to affiliate radio and television stations as well as in-car/personal navigational devices and mobile apps. This management position reports to the Vice President, Regional Operations-Southeast.


Responsibilities/Duties:
As the Operations Manager, you will be the on-site manager responsible for all operational aspects of the broadcast operation for Total Traffic & Weather Network (TTWN) in Atlanta and staff management.
You will be responsible for overseeing the production and delivery of audio reports and data dissemination to our clients in the Hub.
Training staff on audio delivery systems and internal traffic content management software.
Continuing to increase operational efficiencies within the current work flow model.
Required Skills:
Recruiting, selection, hiring and training of on-air talent and producers.
Affiliate relations, managing and executing airchecks, data quality and review, staff scheduling, managing payroll, management of affidavits, distribution of copy and on-air schedules.

What You'll Need:

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or 10 years of direct radio/television experience
  • Minimum 5 years of direct prior experience in radio and television management is required
  • Must have a strong track record of successfully leading and developing a large staff on varying schedules
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills
  • Prior experience in performance management, coaching, and staff feedback needed
  • Prior experience in customer service and staff scheduling needed
  • PC Proficiency (MS Office), WorkDay, etc.
  • Proficiency with audio content delivery systems (Nexgen, Sound+, FTP)
  • Working knowledge/understanding of Six Sigma or similar data driven management philosophy.
  • Previous experience conducting performance/goal reviews with staff.
  • Must be available to respond to station needs for all shifts.
