You will part of an  experienced team working closely with the customer, helping ensure all  projects are a success. 

SUMMARY

Responsible for  coordination of estimated materials as defined by Engineering and Production  departments in the ERP system to the actual physical material usage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor all inventory transactions including internal manufacturing consumption, external material purchases, and subcontracting costs.
  • Monitor materials as they are processed through the various manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor existing procedures and introduces new procedures to ensure materials are correctly issued to projects and customer orders.
  • Initiate and manage inventory cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy thresholds.
  • Organize, plan, and lead semi-annual plant wide inventory event.
  • Monitor material returns, inter-plant transfers, and other production related inventory       transactions.
  • Coordinate with Production department to ensure accurate and timely production reporting.
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
  • Responsible for Material Requisitions
  • Responsible for purchasing for manufacturing related Supplies 
  • Responsible for Coordinating Material transfers and information with external suppliers 
Requirements:

 KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • High School education required. Four-year degree from an accredited college or university degree is preferred.
    • 3 - 5 years of experience in a MRP based environment with direct inventory counting and/or reconciliation responsibilities In the ERP system.
    • Knowledge of production, material control, and manufacturing processes,
    • Knowledge of material procurement procedures, and awareness of marketplace conditions.
    • Must have excellent written, oral communications, administrative, and data entry skills
    • Must have excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Must have ability to work both within a team, and as a facilitator among several different teams.
    • Must be a highly effective communicator with vendors, co-workers, management, and customers.

Physical Demands:  The physical activity  of this position involves standing, and  walking, and moving about on foot to accomplish tasks. Conveying detailed or  important instructions to co-workers accurately. Hearing involves the ability  to receive detailed information through oral communication. The position  requires medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up  to 20 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move  objects.  The visual acuity requirements include visual recognition of  various parts in many sizes and finishes.  The ability to visually  inspect and detect defects and irregularities in materials is also required.


Work Environment: 

  • The employee is subject to inside environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.  
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • PPE such as steel toe boots, hard hats, hearing and eye protection is required in production areas in which the employee will be working.
  • The employee may be subject to paint fumes, dust, and toxins that may affect the respiratory system.
