Clinical RN Director 

Physicians’ Surgery Center of Tidewater is seeking a Clinical Director to join our team. We are a busy, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center serving the Virginia Beach community and are proudly affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).

Job Description: The Clinical Director provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical functions of the ASC. They ensure high-quality, patient-centered care; compliance with federal, state, and accreditor standards; and effective coordination among nursing, anesthesia, surgical, and support staff. The Clinical Director partners with the Administrator on budgeting, staffing, and performance improvement initiatives. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual with strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Leadership: Provide strong leadership, direction, and supervision to the clinical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

·         Clinical Experience: Must have OR experience, perioperative experience preferred.

·         Clinical Oversight: Ensure that clinical operations run efficiently and safely. Monitor and maintain high standards of patient care and safety.

·         Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with all relevant healthcare regulations, certifications, and licensures. Ensure the surgery center complies with all state and federal laws and regulations.

·         Quality Improvement: Lead quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to best practices in clinical care. Promote a culture of continuous improvement.

·         Staff Development: Recruit, train, and develop clinical staff, ensuring they meet all necessary qualifications and certifications.

·         Budget Management: Collaborate with the administrative team to manage the clinical budget effectively.

·         Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and administrative staff to optimize patient care and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

·         Graduate of accredited nursing school

·         Current RN license

·         Proven experience as clinical director or other nursing leadership role

·         Experience in clinical supervision and program management

·         OR experience; perioperative experience preferred
