Job description

See your work in a new light.

At LUX Infusion, we're reimagining infusion care to be more human, supportive, and connected. Inspired by lux—meaning light - we guide patients, providers, and partners through complex therapies with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

As a clinician-led, U.S.-based organization, we put people first - helping patients feel seen and supported through faster therapy starts, dedicated care coordination, and meaningful collaboration. Our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and advancement (IDEA) is central to our culture, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered to make a difference.

We're looking for a Per Diem Home Infusion Registered Nurse who wants their work to mean something — someone who brings clinical skill, compassion, and accountability to every patient interaction.

Why This Role Matters

This role plays an important part in helping LUX Infusion deliver a patient‑first experience by providing safe, reliable infusion care in patients' homes and infusion suites.

In this role, you'll contribute to work that:

  • Helps patients feel supported, comfortable, and confident receiving infusion therapy outside of the hospital
  • Supports physicians, caregivers, and internal teams through clear communication and dependable care coordination
  • Ensures continuity and quality of care for patients managing complex therapies

Everything we do connects back to real people navigating complex healthcare journeys — and this role helps bring expert care directly to where patients are.

Role Details

Schedule & Location:
Lux Infusion is seeking a Part‑Time Per Diem Infusion Nurse to see patients in their homes or infusion suites.
It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work in one of the metropolitan‑area locations noted in the posting.
Work location is subject to change based on business needs.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide direct home and infusion‑suite nursing care by inserting, monitoring, and removing IVs and administering prescribed medications, blood products, and nutrition
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions, obtain vital signs, complete physical assessments and reviews of systems, and document all patient‑related activities
  • Perform venipuncture and manage venous access, including peripheral IVs and central lines
  • Teach patients and caregivers how to safely perform and monitor home infusion therapy
  • Collaborate closely with company directors, nursing coordinators, directors of nursing, physicians, agencies, and internal teams
  • Coordinate start‑of‑care and ongoing nursing visits and confirm schedules with patients and nursing partners
  • Complete, review, and submit nursing notes, therapy administration reports, care plans, and progress documentation
  • Communicate patient status changes, concerns, or reportable events to referring physicians and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with clinical, regulatory, and company standards
  • Support staffing coordination while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards
  • Drive within the state to patient residences, infusion suites, and assigned care locations
  • Uphold compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and organizational policies

What We're Looking For

You may be a great fit if you bring:

  • Deep care about patient outcomes and the infusion experience
  • A nursing degree from an accredited college or university
  • A current RN license in the state of practice and at least two years of RN experience
  • IV certification and experience with central line care and management
  • Strong medical‑surgical, phlebotomy, and venous access knowledge
  • Confidence working independently while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent assessment, documentation, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Clear, compassionate communication with patients, caregivers, and providers
  • Comfort managing care in home or outpatient infusion environments
  • Willingness to travel locally to patient homes and infusion sites

Preferred (but not required):

  • Bachelor's degree
  • RN licensure in additional states
  • Prior experience in home infusion therapy
  • PICC, port, or midline experience and certification

You don't need to check every box — we care just as much about how you care for patients as what's on your resume.

Why LUX Infusion

At LUX Infusion, we believe infusion care deserves more light — more warmth, more clarity, and more connection.

Here, you'll find:

  • Purpose‑driven, flexible per diem work with real patient impact
  • A patient‑first, clinician‑led culture grounded in empathy and excellence
  • Supportive leadership and collaborative care teams
  • The opportunity to grow your infusion expertise across diverse care settings

Come help us elevate infusion care — and see what's possible when care comes first.
