Ahold Delhaize USA associates support the brands with a wide range of services, including Finance, Legal, Sustainability, Commercial, Digital and E-commerce, Technology and more.OverviewThe Director of Infrastructure Delivery is a senior leadership role responsible for enabling disciplined execution, operational transparency, and executive alignment across the Infrastructure, Cloud, and Service Delivery organization. This leader ensures that infrastructure initiatives spanning operational stability, modernization, and transformation are well-planned, clearly prioritized, consistently executed, and effectively communicated.
The role leads a team focused on delivery coordination, operating cadence, performance insight, and executive-level storytelling. Acting as a trusted partner to the SVP, the Director helps translate strategy into action, brings structure to complex work, and ensures leadership has clear visibility into progress, risks, trade-offs, and outcomes.
This role does not directly manage infrastructure engineering teams. Instead, it enables those teams to succeed by providing clarity, alignment, governance, and insight across all infrastructure domains.
Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 4 in-person days at one of our core locations and 1 remote day. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC.

  • Establish consistent practices for planning, prioritization, execution tracking, and dependency management across infrastructure initiatives.
  • Enable reliable delivery across operational, enhancement, and transformation work while balancing speed, quality, and stability.
  • Partner with infrastructure domain leaders (Cloud & Compute, Network, End User Technology, Store Infrastructure, Service Delivery) to surface risks, resolve dependencies, and drive outcomes.
  • Ensure readiness and execution discipline for large-scale initiatives, vendor-led programs, and business-critical infrastructure investments.
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the SVP, supporting leadership effectiveness through strong operating rhythms, preparation, and follow-through.
  • Coordinate leadership forums, operating reviews, and executive discussions with clear objectives, decisions, and accountability.
  • Translate leadership priorities into aligned plans and ensure consistent execution across the infrastructure leadership team.
  • Support organizational effectiveness efforts including planning cycles, leadership alignment, and change initiatives.
  • Own the infrastructure performance narrative by transforming complex data into clear, executive-ready insights.
  • Develop concise, outcome-focused narratives for executive leadership that highlight progress, trade-offs, decisions required, and business impact.
  • Ensure consistency, accuracy, and clarity of metrics and messaging across all infrastructure communications.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to optimize processes and drive cost-effective, scalable IT solutions for all store locations.
  • Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and efficient contract management.
  • Promote a culture of service excellence, innovation, and accountability throughout the Technology organization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in IT delivery or infrastructure management with 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing distributed teams and outsourced partners.
  • Strong background in managing vendor relationships, SLAs/SLOs, and technology contracts to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of modern ways of working and project management methodologies.
  • A track record of driving organizational effectiveness and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Exceptional ability to coordinate across business units for complex IT deployments and store transformation projects.

Salary Range: $185,840 - $278,760
Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
