What You’ll Do

As ADON, you will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee clinical operations and ensure excellence in resident care.

Leadership & Clinical Oversight

  • Support daily operations of the Nursing Department
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Assist with policy development and regulatory surveys
  • Provide 24-hour accountability for nursing care on assigned units
  • Delegate tasks professionally and ensure follow-through

Quality & Compliance

  • Review admissions, physician orders, assessments, and care plans
  • Oversee MARs/TARs, narcotic reconciliation, infection control logs, and audits
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation, reports, and regulatory logs
  • Monitor hydration, weights, labs, hospital transfers, and psychotropic tracking
  • Maintain oversight of the Infection Control Program

Staff Supervision & Support

  • Manage nursing schedules and assignments
  • Assist with staff education, coaching, and disciplinary processes when necessary
  • Support Charge Nurses and CNAs in problem-solving clinical issues
  • Participate in Medicare and Care Plan meetings

Resident Experience

  • Promote dignity, privacy, and professionalism
  • Ensure call bells are answered timely
  • Conduct environmental and dining experience rounds
  • Maintain high standards for infection control and organization

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Pennsylvania RN license
  • Current AHA BLS (Healthcare Provider)
  • Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience
  • Valid State Identification

Preferred

  • Previous ADON experience
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Commitment to high-quality resident-centered care
