Job description

Practice Manager-Technical Implementation Services (State Street Bank and Trust Company; Burlington, Massachusetts): Expert level project resource to define client requirements, configure and guide solutions. Lead teams of technical consultants of Charles River Investment Management Solutions (CRIMS) within one or more areas including Compliance, Equity, Fixed Income, Investment Solutions and Wealth Management technical implementation. Individual contributions: demonstrate in depth understanding of Charles River Investment Management Solution (CRIMS) and technical proficiency in one of the following solutions: Infrastructure, Performance Tuning, Development, Advanced Configuration, Trouble Shooting and Integration; partner with CRD's sales teams in order to contribute to sales presentations and proof-of concept projects; analyze and evaluate client requirements to demonstrate the potential of CRIMS; build effective working relationships within CRD and with clients, manage difficult situations and influence key decision makers; exhibit strong technical solution design skills from pre-sales to implementation of client solutions by influencing design with concrete facts and proven results in order to maintain system integrity for both client and CRD; gather, analyze and communicate solutions to both clients and internal teams; including strong technical solution design skills from presales to implementation, providing detailed assessments and recommendations; design and execute technical training for clients. Management contributions: manage technical implementation engagements; direct teams to strategically and analytically assess client needs by utilizing technical expertise in assessing and identifying solutions which are in alignment with CRD's current design; ensure project success by managing staffing to optimize utilization, and provide support network to the team to leverage during engagements; partner with recruiting team to identify and hire talent; manage team members including engagement staffing, time and expenses processes, technology and other organizational initiatives; oversee performance management and coach on deficiencies to ensure objectives achieved; strategically solve problems by recognizing long term solutions across multiple projects; direct and provide guidance to less experienced consultants on implementations and identify opportunities to allocate resources as needed. Up to 50% domestic travel. Hybrid remote telecommuting permitted from within the US pursuant to Company policy.
Minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or its equivalent; plus 8 years of progressively responsible client service experience in the Financial Software Services industry.
Must also have: Demonstrated ability to client face with hands-on approach at highest level of an organization both internally and externally; experience with technical support or implementing technical investment solutions within a bank, hedge fund, asset manager or wealth management firm; advanced knowledge of system integrations including XML messaging, web services (SOAP), TEL tools and database techniques; advanced knowledge of installation of n-tier software to DR/HA design; advanced knowledge and experience with implementing enterprise software and SaaS based delivery of solutions; in-depth knowledge of at least one of the following RDMBS: Oracle, MS SQL Server or Sybase; detailed knowledge of at least 3 of the following technologies: Tomcat configuration and optimization, N-tier application architecture, SOAP/XML Messaging software (MQ Series, Tibco, MSMQ, Sonic MQ and Open JMS; demonstrated ability to program using Java, C# and Perl; demonstrated solid written and verbal communication skills and solid analytical and problem solving skills; proven ability to manage multiple, simultaneous priorities in parallel with staff management; proven organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to achieve results without close supervision; and proven experience in role requiring self-motivation with the ability to operate independently as well as to work as a member of a team. Salary Range:
$238,285 - $262,113 Annual
