Each company manufactures a full range of products that serve the Scientific, Medical, Pharmaceutical, Academic, Food/Beverage, Biotechnology and Forensic market segments. The core products for each company provide for operator safety to harmful chemicals and particulate or protection of analytical samples from airborne contamination.”


The Human Resources Manager is a key member of the leadership team and will lead and direct the daily functions of the HR department for our manufacturing operations. This role acts as a strategic business partner to the manufacturing and front office leadership teams ensuring that our workforce initiatives directly support production goals, operational excellence, and a safe, high-performing workplace culture.


Essential Functions

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for all manufacturing levels and front office positions. Including but not limited to production operators, front office personnel, engineers and manufacturing leadership.
  • Works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; new-employee orientations and conduct exit interviews.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving employee grievances and concerns, manage disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans and conducting internal investigations.
  • Writes or rewrites job descriptions as necessary; analyzes compensation; monitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook.
  • Performs benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  • Develops and maintains affirmative action program; files EEO-1 annually; maintains other records, reports and logs to conform to EEO regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Partners with the safety team to ensure OSHA compliance, manage workers' compensation claims.
  • Works with leadership to coordinate “on-the-job” training, and e-learning for manufacturing staff including leadership coaching for frontline line supervising staff.
  • Use HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism) to identify trends and implement retention strategies that improve plant productivity.

Required Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in HR or related field from an accredited college or university in the HR field.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Deep understanding of FMLA, ADA, and FLSA compliance.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in Benefit Administration.
  • Excellent leadership and conflict resolution skills.
  • Experience with HRIS systems (e.g., ADP Workforce).
  • Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish) is a plus.

Accountabilities

  • Resolving employee grievances, conflicts, and disciplinary issues in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Managing the end-to-end onboarding process to ensure new hires are fully trained and integrated.
  • Maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, EEO) to minimize company liability.
  • Designing and enforcing HR policies for the manufacturing and front office environments.
  • Overseeing programs that ensure the health and safety of all employees on the manufacturing floor and administrative staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels, from manufacturing employees to executive leadership.
  • Maintaining accurate, confidential employee files and records.



Terms of employment

This is a full-time, exempt, salary position.


Hours


The general hours shall be Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm. As a salaried employee you are expected to work at least forty (40) hours per week. You have the discretion for lunch and other breaks. We expect our managers to complete their work and manage their time as needed.


Work Environment

Work is regularly performed in office and manufacturing environments.

Travel may be required.
