Job description

Overview

Stagwell is seeking a Director, Strategy & Investment to drive growth through corporate strategy, external acquisitions, internal product development, portfolio company management and other levers of enterprise value creation. This individual will partner with executive leadership, finance, business unit leaders, and external advisors to identify opportunities that strengthen and grow Stagwellโ€™s competitive position.

The role is ideal for an analytical and commercially minded professional who can connect strategy, financial/operational analysis, investment execution, and business management.

Responsibilities

Corporate Strategy

  • Support enterprise growth strategy and long-range planning.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, customer shifts, and emerging opportunities.
  • Assess business units to identify opportunities for growth, profitability improvement, and strategic pivots.
  • Prepare executive-ready recommendations for senior leadership, Investment Committees, and the Board.
  • Drive and execute high-priority strategic initiatives with business leaders.

Investment

  • Evaluate acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities aligned with Stagwellโ€™s strategic priorities.
  • Lead financial, operational, market, and strategic diligence for potential transactions.
  • Develop valuation analyses, investment theses, business cases, and executive recommendations.
  • Execute negotiation strategy alongside internal and external advisors.
  • Partner with finance, legal, tax, and business leaders through transaction execution.
Qualifications
  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, corporate development, private equity, transaction advisory, or related fields
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Experience evaluating acquisitions, investments, partnerships, or transformation initiatives.
  • Proven ability to synthesize complex data into concise business recommendations.
  • Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills.
Compensation

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base salary for this role is $120,000 - $150,000 with significant bonus potential. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
