The Institute for Homeland Security in the College of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University seeks a dedicated student worker to assist communication production, marketing and promotion. A particular focus is Structurally Sound, a weekly podcast produced alongside the Mass Communication Department. The show focuses on interviews, trends, patterns and emerging risks and opportunities regarding critical infrastructure. Past topics have included strategic concerns regarding UAVs, sovereign artificial intelligence, freight fraud and quantum computing threats to cybersecurity. It is currently pre-recorded and audio-only, but we're exploring options to expand into video and/or radio broadcasting.
This is an excellent part-time opportunity for journalism, public relations and broadcast production students to expand their professional portfolios and distinguish their education with prominent inter-disciplinary collaboration and learning.
