Job description

The position of Data Engineer in Analytics and Reporting Department is responsible in managing data process design and development of ETL in SQL Server environment. This role also involves understanding business requirements and designing and developing regulatory and operational reports in a timely and consistent manner.
The Successful candidate must be self-motivated and technically strong individuals with minimum of five years of experience in SQL Server and other database development. The individual must be proficient in TSQL, SSIS development, familiar with application development life cycle. Strong project management and strong analytical skills are also required. Knowledge in healthcare membership, provider, claims data as well as familiarity with 834/837 EDI transaction is a plus.
Scope of Role & Responsibilities
  • Monitor, maintain, and enhance existing data processes.
  • Collaborate with team members to create comprehensive documentation of workflows, data processing, and reporting logics.
  • Support compliance and regulatory in providing support for reporting and auditing needs.
  • Manage and prioritize concurrently projects in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Develop SQL stored procedures, SSIS packages, and process module.
  • Develop test cases to validate data processes, ETL workflows, and reporting logic.

Required Education, Training & Professional Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Database Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of programming experience in SQL Server database object development including but not limited to stored Procedures, functions, views.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in complex healthcare data like Claims, Enrollment, Providers.
  • Previous experience in business intelligence platforms, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of .Net development, Python, Javascript, JSON, XML,
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to different projects and assignments quickly.
  • Knowledge of EDI X12 Standards especially for transactions 837's, 834, 277CA, 999 is a plus.
