Position Overview

Dataminr seeks a Senior Director / VP of Product Marketing for First Alert, our AI‑powered, real‑time critical event discovery solution for defense organizations. The role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and is responsible for owning the product’s narrative, positioning, and market presence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and operationalize the marketing strategy for First Alert, driving growth, adoption, and positioning.
  • Develop high‑impact sales‑ and customer‑facing content, win stories, and competitive analyses.
  • Partner with Product Management to identify needs, influence the product roadmap, and support product launches.
  • Provide messaging support for sales and enablement initiatives.
  • Represent Dataminr as a domain expert in industry forums, analyst briefings, and client engagements.
Qualifications
  • 12+ years in product marketing, strategy, or related roles.
  • Prior defense sector experience – practitioner experience within government, military, or intelligence agencies.
  • Experience in GovTech, public safety, or mission‑critical SaaS.
  • Experience with AI‑driven products in the defense sector is a strong plus.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and executive presence.
