Job description

The cart attendants provide a wide range of services to the customer from the time they arrive at Raccoon Creek to the time they leave. This critical position often provides the initial greeting for the arriving player at Raccoon Creek. A positive and engaging attitude is the first and most critical requirement for success in this position. Staff members on this team must be able to work efficiently and correctly prioritize their duties without constant direct supervision.


Cart Attendants will manage the golf cart fleet, clean it and prepare it for rental. Other responsibilities include maintaining the driving range by collecting and washing the range balls and keeping the hitting area clean and organized. As directed, the Cart Attendant will collect players' clubs as they arrive and stage them in the appropriate area.


Cart Attendants are expected to show exemplary care for all Raccoon Creek Equipment


SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet all customers both arriving and leaving. Assist all customers by providing friendly and helpful explanations to the locations of all facilities
  • As directed, pick up golfers in parking lot (time permitting) and load clubs on carts and transport customers to the range
  • Stage, maintain and put away the appropriate number of golf carts based on the time of day and/or at the direction of the Golf Shop staff. Maintain a full ready line of carts during each shift.
  • Manage the golf cart fleet by having each cart clean, stocked with score cards, pencil, full sand and seed containers, GPS system on and operational. 
  • Immediately report any cart damage or cart in need of repair to the Golf Shop
  • Maintain a clean and organized appearance at the Podium
  • Pick balls on the driving range, wash them, and keep the ball machines loaded. Collect baskets on the driving range. Keep the range area clean and neat at all times
  • Assist in the staging and launch of tournaments as directed by the Tournament Director/Golf Shop staff/Cart Staff Leaders
  • During each shift, check and empty trash receptacles at the entrance to the Golf Shop and Restaurant entrances
  • Trained staff will be asked to harass the geese population as directed with our "Goosinator"
  • Assist in any and all areas of the entire facility as directed by the Golf Shop Staff
  • Remain available via radio and effectively communicate with the Golf Shop
  • At the direction of the golf shop staff, the cart staff shall maintain the cleanliness and stocking of supplies of the two on course restrooms
  • Perform any other duties as directed by the General Manager/Golf Shop Staff/ Department Heads, or Designated Cart Staff Leaders

Part Time employees at Raccoon Creek enjoy the opportunity to make t-times and play at no charge on Mondays and Tuesdays. Carts are optional and cart fees are only $10 for 18 holes. Employees may also play at no charge on a "space-available" basis on all other days. Employees may bring guests to play for $28 for 18 holes. This "employee guest rate" includes a cart. 9-hole fees during pre-determined times are half of these amounts. Employees may also utilize the driving range at no charge. Employees also receive discounts on Food and Beverage in our Golf Course Restaurant and on merchandise in the Golf Shop.
