Position Title: Golf Operations Associate
Location: Eaglewood Golf Course
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the General Manager and management staff, the Golf Operations Associate plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the golf course, pro shop, and outside services. This position combines responsibilities from starter, cart attendant, and pro shop staff roles to create a seamless and exceptional experience for guests and members. This seasonal position will typically begin mid March dependent on the weather and course opening.
The Golf Operations Associate will perform tasks ranging from assisting customers in the pro shop, ensuring the course runs efficiently, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of golf carts, the driving range, and other operational areas. This role requires strong communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and flexibility in meeting the varied demands of the golf course.
Essential Functions:
Customer Service & Pro Shop Operations:
  • Provide exceptional customer service and act as the first point of contact for guests.
  • Process customer transactions, including payments, refunds, returns, and rain checks per golf course policies.
  • Answer phone calls, make tee times, and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Restock merchandise in the pro shop and maintain organized displays.
  • Clean and maintain the pro shop, restrooms, and other assigned areas.

Course & Cart Operations:
  • Monitor pace of play on the golf course and coordinate with other staff members to resolve issues.
  • Ensure golf carts are clean, supplied, and rotated for uniform use.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures for cart and range operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in staging areas, cart barns, and parking lots.
  • Support tournament setup and event operations as needed.

Driving Range Operations:
  • Oversee the daily operations of range ball recovery using mechanical and hand machinery.
  • Wash and maintain range balls and ensure baskets are clean and organized.
  • Track and report supply needs for day-to-day operations.

General Responsibilities:
  • Use best judgment to address customer complaints and resolve difficult situations.
  • Assist with tasks assigned to other roles, such as on-course marshalling or event center setup.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the golf course dress code.

Job Requirements:
  • Flexible availability, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 2 days per week, including 1 Sunday a month.
  • Minimum age of 18 for pro shop responsibilities; 16 for cart-related roles (with a valid driver's license).
  • Ability to stand for 6-8 hours and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Dress Code:
  • Staff-provided polo or t-shirt for outside operations; Eaglewood or golf-branded apparel preferred.
  • Appropriate bottoms, including khakis, dress pants, golf skirts/dresses, or shorts (outside). No cutoffs, leggings, sweatpants, or basketball shorts permitted.
  • Golf-branded hoodies, sweaters, and outerwear allowed.

Benefits:
  • Staff that meet the work criteria will be given a digital punch card for both driving range and golf privileges. The allotement will be depending on the time of the season.
