Job description

The Senior Director, Global Cloud Platforms will play a critical leadership role in advancing Coca‑Cola’s digital transformation by delivering scalable, secure, and high‑performing cloud platforms that power enterprise innovation. This role leads the enterprise Cloud Platforms organization, encompassing Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Platform Operations, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud FinOps, and Cloud Governance capabilities.

Operating within a highly matrixed, global environment, this leader will drive the modernization of infrastructure and platform services, enabling faster product development, improved resilience, and optimized cost structures. The role will partner closely with Digital Product teams, Data & AI, Cybersecurity, Finance, and Operating Units to ensure cloud capabilities directly support business growth, speed to market, and operational efficiency.

This leader will champion cloud as a foundational enabler of Coca‑Cola’s digital growth engine, embedding automation, platform engineering, and AI‑driven operations into core technology services, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the enterprise cloud vision, roadmap, and operating model aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead multi-year cloud transformation and modernization initiatives across infrastructure, applications, data, and AI platforms.
  • Establish cloud governance, architecture standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Lead the transformation toward a Platform Engineering operating model, delivering self-service capabilities, reusable services, developer portals, and automation that accelerate digital product delivery.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on cloud strategy, technology investments, and emerging industry trends.
Cloud Engineering & Platform Services
  • Lead teams responsible for cloud architecture, engineering, platform operations, SRE, infrastructure automation, and cloud security integration.
  • Build and operate scalable, secure, highly available cloud platforms across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.
  • Establish enterprise self-service cloud platforms that improve developer productivity and accelerate delivery.
  • Oversee infrastructure-as-code, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and platform reliability initiatives.
  • Drive standardization and reusable cloud services across business units.
Technology Modernization
  • Lead migration of legacy applications and infrastructure to cloud-based architectures.
  • Partner with application development teams to modernize platforms using microservices, containers, Kubernetes, serverless technologies, and API-first architectures.
  • Establish and scale cloud platform capabilities supporting enterprise AI, Generative AI, machine learning, advanced analytics, and intelligent automation workloads.
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies that improve agility, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
Security, Risk & Compliance
  • Partner closely with cybersecurity leadership to ensure cloud platforms meet enterprise security requirements.
  • Implement cloud security controls, identity and access management, encryption, monitoring, and compliance frameworks.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, and operational risk management.
Financial Management & FinOps
  • Establish cloud financial governance and optimization programs.
  • Drive cloud cost transparency, chargeback/showback models, and resource optimization.
  • Manage cloud vendor relationships, contracts, and strategic partnerships.
  • Develop business cases and ROI models for cloud investments.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in cloud computing, infrastructure platforms, or enterprise technology leadership roles
  • Proven track record of leading global cloud transformation initiatives at scale within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Experience enabling AI and data platforms through scalable cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and cost-optimized cloud services.
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms, infrastructure architecture, and platform engineering principles
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance in cloud environments
  • Experience with financial management of cloud investments, including cost optimization and value realization practices
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate cloud platforms with data, analytics, and AI capabilities
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global cloud organization through talent development, succession planning, coaching, and engineering excellence programs.
  • Advance sustainable cloud practices through efficient infrastructure utilization, cloud optimization, and responsible technology consumption strategies.
Reporting relationship

Role reports to VP Infrastructure & Operations

Pay Range

United States of America: 217,400 USD - 245,300 USD
