Overview

Tactica Solutions is seeking an experienced Geospatial Analyst Expert to support the U.S. Army INSCOM APOGEE program at Fort Gordon. This is a high-impact opportunity to apply advanced geospatial analysis and GIS expertise in direct support of critical Army and national intelligence requirements.In this role, you will bring deep knowledge of the full spectrum of government and commercial GEOINT capabilities, spatial data processing, analytic modeling, and industry-standard tools such as Esri ArcGIS, QGIS, MapBox, and GeoServer to solve complex geospatial intelligence challenges. You will work side-by-side with partners across the Intelligence Community and Department of Defense, producing clear, actionable geospatial intelligence through well-crafted reports, graphics, briefings, and multimedia presentations that senior leaders rely on.

Responsibilities:

  • The Geospatial Analyst shall perform analysis of the full spectrum of US Government and commercial GEOINT assets and maintain expertise in all associated tradecraft, including Synthetic Aperture RADAR (SAR), Electro-Optical (EO), Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR), Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), Geospatial Information and Services (GI&S), Wide Area Persistent Surveillance (WAPS), geospatial data processing, analysis and modeling, and general intelligence analysis.
  • Maintain proficiency with all tools and databases necessary to access supporting intelligence information required for the execution of GEOINT support to the customer.
  • Use geographic information systems, methods, and tools to answer critical intelligence questions.
  • Perform specialized scientific and technical data processing techniques utilizing non-standard and developmental software suites, to include SAP, CAP, and CNWDI level programs; stage for exploitation; and provide requisite training as required by the Government.
  • Adhere to all GEOINT related technical publications, policies, and directives at the National, Theater, and local level.
  • Responsible for capturing analytical findings in textual, graphic, vector, or other formats as directed by national land local policy and will ensure that GEOINT reporting adheres to national, theater, and local policies which govern content, accuracy, formatting, classification, and timeliness.
  • Maintain familiarity and expertise with all relevant classification guides, security policy, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
  • Remain abreast of geo-political events, topics, atmospherics, and current events as they relate to supported Combatant Commands and respective theaters, to provide informed, insightful, and timely answers to customer intelligence requirements.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • MA or MS in a technical field such as Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related degree AND 10 years of relevant experience; OR BA/BS degree in a technical field such as Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related degree AND 15 years of relevant experience
  • College degree must be in Geospatial Information & Services (GIS), Geomatics, Geospatial Sciences, or related field.

Clearance

  • Current/active TS/SCI security clearance with Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Relevant experience must be in geospatial analysis and/or geospatial information systems.
  • Expert knowledge of industry standard location analysis desktop and server applications such as Esri ArcGIS Platform, QGIS, MapBox, GeoServer, etc.
  • Experience using and managing spatial relational databases including Oracle, MSSQL, or PostGreSQL/PostGIS.
  • Extensive experience with geographically-derived assessments, enterprise data integration, spatial data governance, metadata management and interpretation of business and performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated experience using geospatial Python, R, SAS, Java or other coding languages to deliver custom geoprocessing and analytical workflows.

Core Competencies

  • Expert ability to present geospatial information via multimedia presentations and written reports.
  • Experience in coordination and collaboration with industry counterparts on technical projects, software and service assessment, and other related subject material.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD geospatial data and repositories.
  • Experience working within common project management frameworks.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in cartography, GIS, spatial modeling.
  • Demonstrated experience using Python, R, SAS, Java or other coding languages to deliver custom solutions.
  • Familiarity with Army, DoD, or IC geospatial processes, policy, and programs.
  • Private sector (e.g., GISP, Esri Professional, etc.) or government (e.g., GPC series) professional GIS certification.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office tools and graphic design principles.
  • Familiarity with DoD/NSG Structured Observation Management (SOM) and object- based production

Location:ย Fort Gordon, GA

Physical Requirement:Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weight up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
