Job description

This is a dream job working with automated robotics, Autonomous Intelligent Vehicle (AIV) mobile robots, and one of the largest 3D printing machines in the country, all in a state of the art, clean, climate-controlled environment. eCMMS, a division of Foxconn, is searching for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join the team at our facility in Sandston, VA.

The maintenance technician position will serve as a frontline technical resource for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, Predictive, Preventative (PM), and Reactive Maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responds with sense of urgency to all calls for assistance from the lines
  • Proactively monitors assigned lines throughout the shift to ensure maximum equipment performance
  • Resolves equipment issues with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Performs line safety audits to identify and resolve deficiencies
  • Completes work orders documenting 85% of their workday
  • Works independently; requires with minimal direction.
  • Actively participates in rebuilds/overhauls
  • Replaces defective parts and components as necessary.
  • Provides guidance education to strengthen the capabilities of all technicians
  • Partners with other department(s) and leaders to identify improvement opportunities and resolve issues
  • Effectively communicates and/or escalates ongoing issues or problems to the appropriate parties, both orally and in writing.
  • Coordinates with outgoing and incoming technicians
  • Demonstrates ownership and accountability in all aspects of the role
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager or Supervisor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A two (2) year technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 – 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance that ensures possession of fundamental maintenance related technical skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve basic issues in limited production technologies

Preferred:

  • A critical thinker with the ability to perform reactive, planned, and scheduled maintenance tasks.
  • Should possess background in industrial mechanical and/or electrical manufacturing operations and maintenance along with knowledge of process and packaging equipment.
  • Experience including installation, start up and maintenance of complex processing and packaging lines and controls.
  • Familiar with computerized maintenance management systems, parts management, and preventive maintenance programs.
