Position Profile

We are seeking Applications Engineers. The successful candidates will be responsible for acquiring and applying in-depth knowledge of:

  • Air Pollution Control
  • Pumping Systems
  • Pneumatic Conveying
  • Chemical Feed & Metering
  • Explosion Prevention & Protection
Primary Responsibilities

The Applications Engineer supports Outside Sales and is a technical resource for customers. The primary responsibilities are:

  • Providing Customers with Technical help and Service
  • Equipment Selections & Pricing
  • System Design
  • Developing Equipment Quotations & Technical Proposals
  • Field Work and Project Management

Other duties will include direct interaction with prospective customers; equipment troubleshooting; presentations, and problem solving. This position blends sales and technical work with a heavy emphasis on customer interaction and sales.

Position Requirements

Education - The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering. Other disciplines will be considered, however Fluid Engineering’s products and applications are most closely related to these engineering disciplines.

Skills - The candidate must be a self-starter and possess a strong desire to interact with customers and prospects. Strong computer skills (preferably Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SolidWorks and ACAD) are essential. Excellent communication skills, professionalism and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are required.

Experience - 3-5 years of related work experience is preferred.
