This role directs 25 or more hourly employees and ensures safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of all foundry processes, including sand preparation, greensand molding, melting, pouring, casting, finishing, and inspection. The Foundry Manager manages production flow, assigns work, monitors performance, and ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and ISO requirements. This position plays a key role in meeting production schedules, ensuring equipment readiness, coordinating with other departments, and driving continuous improvement across the foundry.

  • Partner with the Plant Manager and Area Supervisors to ensure employees have the right tools, training, and support to work safely and efficiently
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and other certifying requirements
  • Collect and record daily production data and process parameters, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with the EHS Manager, Plant Manager, and HR Manager to ensure all safety and environmental training is current while promoting a people-first culture
  • Direct and adjust the workforce daily to meet production goals and customer demand
  • Provide a clear daily production schedule to guide workflow and priorities
  • Analyze and resolve work problems and drive root-cause problem-solving with the team
  • Coordinate with Human Resources, Maintenance, Planning, Engineering, and Quality to optimize labor, machines, and equipment
