Job description


As an Engineering Operations Leader here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for the strategic alignment, operational excellence, and execution discipline across global cross functional teams. This role partners closely with Finance, Product Operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure engineering investments translate into measurable business outcomes-especially through New Product Introduction (NPI) and strategic growth initiatives. They will lead portfolio governance, optimize resources, elevate engineering performance, and provide data-driven insights that strengthen decision-making at the executive level. This role entails expert level process and tools knowledge of the New Product Introduction (NPI) from Idea to Delivery, and a proven ability to work globally with high-performing cross-functional Teams.
You will report directly to our senior leadership team, and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operational Excellence, Automation & Digital Transformation - Identify and implement automation, digitalization, and AI opportunities to eliminate manual work; drive Lean/Agile/Six Sigma improvements; standardize KPIs and leading indicators to elevate engineering effectiveness to drive growth.
  • Strategic Portfolio & AOP Management - Lead engineering portfolio planning, manage AOP for engineering tools, track adoption, drive consolidation, and align investments with strategic growth initiatives.
  • Engineering Metrics & Business Intelligence - Define KPIs (OTD, utilization, schedule adherence, budget, quality, NPI success); build executive dashboards; deliver data-driven insights.
  • Best-Practice Integration & Process Excellence Collaboration - Serve as the conduit to central corporate teams to bring in best practices, frameworks, and standards; collaborate closely with Process Excellence teams to drive delivery improvements, harmonize processes, and elevate engineering execution maturity.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE
  • Technical Degree & Tools - bachelor's degree in a technical STEM discipline; Electrical Engineering preferred, with advanced engineering degrees highly valued. Expertise in Data Analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau and Power BI.
  • Engineering Leadership, Operations / PM Experience - 5+ years in engineering leadership roles with a strong record of managing cross-functional and global teams. With minimum 3 years' experience in Engineering Operations or Project Management.
  • Global Team Leadership - Proven ability to lead, influence, and develop high-performing global teams.
  • Leadership, Communication & Strategic Skills - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and strategic problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities effectively.
