Job Summary
This position is located at Jefferson High School.
Job Description / Essential Elements:
An ideal coaching candidate for JUHSD and its respective school, posesses the following:
1) Experts on the rules, strategies, techniques, sports equipment, physical fitness and safety of their respective sport
2) Posesses the ability to motivate student athletes to maximize their athletic talent
3) Help to prepare student athletes for competition
4) Complete many adminstrative tasks such as: scheduling athletic events and practices, transportation, maintain supplies and equipment, and assist in maintenance of school facilities
5) Assist student athletes in maintaining and meeting eligibility requirements in order to participate in high school athletic events
6) Have good communication and supervisory skills
7) Possesses the ability to make decisions under pressure
8) Possesses the ability to work in conjunction with the Athletic Director and site administration to enforce all school rules and policies

School district experience preferred.
Candidates who meet the initial screening requirements may be required to take and pass a written performance assessment prior to being scheduled for an interview.
