View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications Under supervision from the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, the Director of School Site Safety will provide strategic oversight and leadership for the district's campus safety departments, which include public safety, environmental health and safety, occupational health and safety, fire safety and emergency planning.

The Director of School Site Safety will provide oversight for the implementation of all campus safety plans to ensure that students, faculty, and staff are provided with a safe and secure environment consistent with the expectations of the AVUHSD. As the districts subject matter expert (SME) and trusted lead advisor for emergency planning and response efforts, the Director of School Site Safety will advise campus and district leadership regarding a wide-range of safety and security matters, guide deliberations for the campus emergency response group, collaborate with risk management and other relevant departments to identify and mitigate risks, and liaise with local Law Enforcement and Fire agencies to ensure that safety and security compliance mandates are met. Additionally, the Director of School Site Safety will guide the development of Campus-wide safety initiatives aimed at preserving the social and emotional well-being of all students, staff, and visitors.
