What you'll be doing...
When you join Verizon's Digital Media Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for leading digital media strategy, execution and optimization across all inventory types to achieve brand and business objectives.
You will lead a team of managers and strategists that will execute the programmatic and paid social strategy. You will also partner with our vendor and agency teams on planning for key moments. With your knowledge of the tech landscape and the evolution of paid media buying, you will keep internal leadership, media and ad teams educated on emerging technologies. You will engage and influence stakeholders across the organization with respect to media technology and operations while managing and developing the digital team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Developing and executing bold, innovative strategies for Verizon's approach to digital.
  • Partnering closely with other marketing leaders to support the strategy and execution.
  • Supporting efforts across partner units within Verizon (Operations, Experience, Technology, CRM) to create improved digital experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Educating internal teams on the evolution of programmatic technology and paid social strategy, what's leading in the marketplace and what tech can be utilized.
  • Enhance partnerships and vendor relationships by identifying new opportunities to drive the business utilizing data and providing product consulting for development roadmap.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvements and transformation.

What we're looking for...
You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
  • Marketer/agency/consultative services experience in programmatic media strategy and investment.
  • Knowledge of advertising channels across TV, audio, OOH, Display (desktop, mobile), Digital Video, Social Media, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.
  • Ability to manage all self-serve programmatic and social channels (display, video, social, dOOH, audio, native) and launch new channels.
  • Experience leading teams and establishing high team morale through constant change and intense workloads.
  • Experience with analysis and reporting.
  • Experience in data-driven targeting and reach strategy.
  • Experience managing projects across multiple stakeholders.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Relevant experience in programmatic and paid social media buying.
  • Experience with primary buying platforms & formats (Yahoo, Amazon AAP, Google, Meta/Facebook/Instagram, Snapchat, X/Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
  • Experience with leading data-driven media technology (Liveramp, Adobe AAM, Epsilon).
  • Knowledge of Ad verification and brand safety tools (IAS, DoubleVerify, Moat).
  • Experience with management of programmatic budgets of at least fifty million dollars.
  • Programmatic leadership experience within Agency Trade Desks, Management Consultancies or brands with in-house programmatic capabilities.
  • Knowledge of the evolution of programmatic media; how video, social, display, native, branded content became purchasable programmatically.
  • Experience making recommendations and influencing executives on tech adoption, based on thorough awareness of the current and emerging programmatic tech landscape.
  • Experience with dynamic creative, AI and generative AI technologies & tools (Innovid).
  • Experience with management of agency relationships and resources, and ability to influence across divisions, departments and teams.
  • An understanding of ad trafficking & tagging operations process (CM, Innovid).

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $139,500.00 - $243,000.00.
