Your Impact

The Director of Infrastructure is responsibility for performing the managerial and supervisory duties related to all infrastructure and related projects for KLA Laboratories. Working under the direction of the Vice President, the Director of Infrastructure provides leadership and technical expertise in a team-oriented environment to support the mission and vision of KLA Laboratories.

The Director manages the scope, schedule and budget through planning, design and construction, commissioning, and close out of projects. The Director is responsible for the oversight of the infrastructure business unit including networks, storage, and computer systems. This position will monitor and change control processes for all clients, as needed, to ensure the infrastructure is stable, highly available, highly scalable, and meets the performance standards necessary to support current and future business needs.

A Glimpse of What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement infrastructure strategies that support KLA Labs' business objectives and growth plans
  • Conduct assessments of current infrastructure to identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and expansion
  • Oversee the design, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of telecommunications systems for customers
  • Ensure the infrastructure systems are highly available, reliable, and secure, adhering to industry best practices
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of infrastructure professionals, including engineers, project managers and technicians
  • Promote a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and high performance within the team
  • Manage and execute infrastructure projects, including budgeting, resource planning, and timeline management
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers, including contract negotiation and performance monitoring
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure infrastructure solutions align with business needs
  • Ensure that infrastructure operations comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and efficiency in infrastructure management
  • Implement continuous improvement practices to enhance the performance and capabilities of infrastructure systems
  • Analyze complex business needs presented by the client to recommend technical solutions
  • Produce detailed timeline of open jobs and implement effective project control by monitoring the progress of the job and reporting the status
  • Execute, architect, and manage strategic infrastructure project plans
  • Direct and prioritize workload of Project Managers
  • Monitor financial aspects of projects, from inception to completion
  • Integrate IT systems infrastructure and to the needs of clients' business operations
  • Work with IT leadership to ensure a highly available and highly scalable infrastructure
  • Document engineering standards, infrastructure procedures and project proposals
  • Mentor infrastructure team members in deploying new technologies
  • Collaborate on problem resolution with clients, vendors and other technical staff
  • Participate in cross-functional groups to support technology initiatives, deliver infrastructure support to ensure industry standards and best-practices are met
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment
  • Contribute to situations in which workload exceeds standard work hours
  • Manage several IT staff members, possesses the authority to hire and terminate
  • Participate in annual strategic planning
  • Perform other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
