As a Data Center Manager, you will take full ownership of a mission-critical data center: the uptime, the safety, the budget, and the team that makes it all run. As Data Center Manager, you’ll be the final word on site performance, stepping into incident command when it matters most and setting the roadmap for how your site grows. This is a role for a hands-on leader who wants real authority over outcomes, from uptime and safety to financial performance and the team behind it all.


What You’ll Do


Operational Accountability: Own site operations end to end, including uptime, safety, and compliance across your assigned data centers, and step in as incident commander to drive fast, effective resolution when it matters most.

Operational Documentation & Process Governance: Keep operations running like clockwork by owning documentation, procedures, and process standards, making sure records, drawings, and policies stay accurate and repeatable.

Infrastructure, Projects & Growth: Lead the next phase of growth, planning, pricing, and executing infrastructure projects, customer deployments, and facility expansions that align with long-term capacity strategy.

Financial & Asset Management: Take ownership of OPEX and CAPEX budgets, vendor contracts, and asset lifecycle management, balancing financial discipline with reliability and scalability.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Execution: Lead your site team and partner across Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Customers to execute projects with clear accountability and drive lasting site performance.

Requirements:


What you bring to the team:

  • 2+ years of direct people leadership experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of planning and construction management processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of estimating, budgeting, and scheduling practices.
  • Understanding of fiber optic technology, including single-mode and multi-mode fibers.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% depending on data center needs

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ Years Professional Experience in facilities management, electrical or mechanical engineering

Experience:

  • 4+ Years Experience working in data centers and/or experience with data center infrastructure to include electrical, HVAC, fire suppression, and security systems.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position may be performed in either a standard office setting or a home office environment. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 – $140,000 per year, depending on location, skills, experience, and other job-related factors. This role is also eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and participation in US Signal's comprehensive benefits programs. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
