Director of Cyber Security 10916

The ideal candidate brings deep security operations experience, strong leadership skills, and expertise in the Microsoft security ecosystem, with a proven ability to modernize cyber defense through automation and AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise cyber defense, including detection engineering, incident response, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and digital forensics.
  • Direct 24x7 security monitoring and incident response across a complex, multi-entity environment.
  • Develop and implement AI-enabled security operations, leveraging automation and AI agents to enhance detection, investigation, and response.
  • Govern and secure enterprise AI platforms, ensuring compliance with AI governance and data protection standards.
  • Drive SIEM/SOAR strategy, security automation, and continuous improvement of detection capabilities.
  • Lead major incident response activities and coordinate cross-functional response efforts.
  • Partner with technology, legal, compliance, and business leaders to support security strategy and risk management.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing cyber defense team.
  • Support regulatory compliance, audits, and security governance initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years leading security operations teams.
  • Experience applying AI, machine learning, and automation within security operations.
  • Strong knowledge of AI security concepts and frameworks, including securing AI-enabled applications and services.
  • Expertise with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, SIEM/SOAR platforms, KQL, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Experience supporting large-scale or multi-tenant security operations; regulated industry experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data protection, DLP, DSPM, MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and related security frameworks.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GCIH, or GCFA preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
