Monday - Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (including on-call consultation)

We are seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical
Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team.
What you bring to SBHG:
  • Education: A Master's degree in family/child counseling, development or psychology, social services or professional counseling or related social science field.
  • Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology preferred.
  • Licensure: Must be a BBS-licensed LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, or PhD.
  • Meets agency driver eligibility criteria
  • Experience: Four (4) years of direct service experience with the mentally ill, children, adolescents, and/or adults is preferred.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting is also preferred.
  • Supervision: Two (2) years of post-licensure experience with the ability to provide clinical supervision to registered interns/associates and/or practicum students is preferred.
  • Certifications: A valid California Driver's License and BLS CPR/First Aid certification are required.

How you will make a difference:
This position has primary responsibility for directing and oversight of the staff who provide mental health and support services to clients and their families. Clinical Director may have their own caseload in addition to oversight responsibilities. The Clinical Director acts as liaison with external agencies and functions on teams with other clinical and support staff. This position involves planning, implementation, monitoring, and revision of the clinical treatment program. The Clinical Director represents the agency to county agencies and the community. The Clinical Director may meet with clients, provide direct care and treatment, and may be involved in the client grievance process. The Clinical Director is responsible for overall facility/program management. This position has the responsibility of and provides direct clinical supervision of BBS licensed staff, ensuring services are in accordance with BBS standards and signs off on BBS hours.
Division/Program Overview:
Program: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting with a stay of up to 23 hours
Population Served: All age groups - children, adolescents, adults, and older adults - who need immediate access to crisis mental health services.
Facility & Setting: The Valley Star Crisis Walk-In Center (CWIC) is voluntary and offered on a 24/7 basis in an unlocked setting
Clinical Services: Rapid mental health assessment and crisis intervention, the center provides important services to those in need of immediate crisis intervention and stabilization
Length of Stay: stay of up to 23 hours
Skills & Transition: Individuals admitted into the crisis stabilization unit will be provided with support and services to ensure their safe transition to the next level of care or back to the community.
