Job Title: Analytic Production Team Lead

Location: 11010 white rock rd Rancho Cordova, CA 95670 or San Diego, CA

Duration: 6 months contract to hire

Intake notes with manager:

Team is forming, currently doesn't t exist. Responsible for producing information based products, like manufacturing but instead of materials in a factory they are taking raw data and statistical models and make sure quality out the door. On a monthly basis of release. Example, products are home price indexes, CL HPI, case-shiller (measure home prices), other trends over times. All the way from input to output to quality control and standards and activities. Main point of contact for internal users (Product Managers who bring to market-client facing). Mostly work internal facing. Product manager goes back to team for questions. May require going to raw data sources, modelers who created it, back to product and look at it or determine to resolve it.

  • The 5-8 years of directly related experience is preferred but if has everything else and a little less time, then OK. No direct reports but will be directing activity of a team. Will be housed in Rancho with another individual he/she will do knowledge transfer with. Temp-hire position with the first 6 month of engagement being a true ramp up time for a certain project. 1st interview will be phone. Experience with Linux or command-line interface is the #1 requirement for this position. Must understand the languages and how it all works together.

Job Duties:

  • As key member of the Analytic Production Operations group, lead a team of production analysts in their charge to produce high quality analytic solutions, derivative products, and supporting data tables while maintaining established production schedules. The position involves significant interaction with Program Management, Product Management, Enterprise Data, Analytic Modeling, Analytic Engineering, and Enterprise Technology teams to maintain and improve the quality and reliability of CoreLogic product offerings.

Job responsibilities including the following activities:

  • Serve as primary subject matter expert for the production operations of multiple analytic products, understanding the input data sources, models, systems, production processes, quality control procedures and production output.
  • Lead analytic production team to ensure timely delivery of products to internal systems and users.
  • Instruct, direct and assign work to other analytic production team members.
  • Ensure analytic production team members follow established production processes, procedures and communication protocols.
  • Ensure established quality control standards are maintained.
  • Ensure production operations documentation is complete, meets established standards, is kept up-to-date and is validated regularly.
  • Act as primary contact for Product Management on production-related matters, facilitating production review meeting on a regular basis and handling escalated inquiries from clients and internal users. Engage other teams as needed to gather information, provide complete and accurate responses to the product owners and resolve issues in a timely fashion.
  • Act as first point of escalation for production-related issues. Troubleshoot or further escalate issues, as appropriate.
  • Analyze SAS data sets and log files as needed to support product inquiries, issue resolution and project work.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager to develop schedules for production, product releases and project work.
  • Actively participate in Analytic Development Life Cycle to ensure that new production processes and procedures meet established standards for compliance, repeatability and quality.
  • Regularly review established production processes, procedures and standards for efficiency and compliance with current best practices and guidelines. Design and implement improved processes, procedures and standards, as appropriate.
  • Identify and implement improved quality control standards and processes, as appropriate.
  • Provide technical assistance and cross-training to team members.
  • Act as mentor to junior team members.

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Bachelor s degree in mathematics, economics or statistics strongly preferred.
  • 5-8 years of directly related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading technical projects or operations required.
  • Experience with SAS, SQL, PLSQL, data visualization and business intelligence tools preferred.
  • Experience with Linux or command-line interfaces required.
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
  • Experience in data extraction, data manipulation, analysis and reporting required.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts highly desired.
  • Experience in the manipulation of large datasets and samples preferred.
  • Experience testing, researching, and trouble-shooting production applications highly desired.
  • Demonstrated success in effective communication, both verbal and written required.
  • Ability to convey technical and conceptual ideas/topics to non-technical personnel required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with others in a functional organization required.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
