Job description

DESCRIPTION
About the Role
The Director, Demand Generation owns Netchex's full-funnel pipeline engine - leading three connected teams: Growth Marketing, Partnerships, and BDR. This is a rare leadership seat that spans paid and organic demand generation, channel and integration partnerships, and outbound/inbound pipeline development, all under one unified go-to-market strategy.
You'll support the strategy for how Netchex builds pipeline from every angle - marketing-sourced, partner-sourced, and outbound-sourced. This role reports to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and works in lockstep with New Business ensuring outbound pipeline converts efficiently into revenue.
What You Will Do
BDR Leadership & Outbound Pipeline
  • Lead and scale Netchex's BDR organization alongside the BDR leader responsible for outbound prospecting and inbound lead qualification
  • Set KPIs and quotas for outbound and inbound pipeline generation, and monitor attainment across teams and regions
  • Partner with the VP of New Business and Sales Managers on territory planning and lead handoff so BDR output converts efficiently to pipeline
  • Build and continuously improve onboarding, training, and coaching programs so the organization scales with the business

Partnerships & Channel Strategy
  • Set and execute strategy for reseller, VAR, and referral channel programs, as well as technology and ISV partnerships, to grow partner-sourced pipeline and ARR
  • Lead and develop the Partnerships team, driving integration partner activation, retention, and overall channel revenue contribution
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with partner organizations, representing Netchex in strategic partner conversations
  • Negotiate and structure complex partnership agreements that align with company revenue goals

Demand Generation & Growth Marketing Leadership
  • Develop and execute integrated growth marketing strategies across paid media, organic channels, email, and ABM to drive qualified pipeline
  • Own and manage the demand generation budget, ensuring efficient allocation and measurable ROI
  • Build and mentor a high-performing growth marketing team across performance marketing, lifecycle, SEO, and marketing operations
  • Implement attribution models and reporting frameworks to track marketing impact across the funnel
  • Drive experimentation and continuous improvement through A/B testing, audience segmentation, and performance analysis

Cross-Functional Leadership & Executive Reporting
  • Serve as the connective tissue between Marketing, Partnerships, New Business, RevOps, and Product to align on pipeline goals and improve lead-to-opportunity conversion
  • Deliver regular performance updates to executive leadership, highlighting pipeline health, channel contribution, and growth opportunities across all three functions
  • Foster a culture of coaching, experimentation, and continuous improvement across Growth Marketing, Partnerships, and BDR/SDR
  • Stay current on HCM industry trends and the competitive landscape to keep all three teams sharp on positioning

What You Will Need
  • 8+ years of progressive experience across B2B SaaS marketing, sales development, or partnerships, including 3+ years leading people managers or multiple functions
  • Proven track record owning pipeline targets and scaling demand generation, partnership, or SDR/BDR programs at a SaaS company
  • Experience building and leading channel or partnership programs, including reseller, VAR, referral, or ISV integration motions
  • Expertise in marketing automation, CRM, and sales engagement platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo)
  • Strong analytical mindset with an experimentation and attribution-driven approach to pipeline generation
  • Excellent leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable managing through team leads and managers rather than only direct ICs
  • Experience in payroll, HR tech, or fintech is a plus

Strong Nice to Have
  • Experience at Rippling, Paycor, Paylocity, or another HCM, payroll, or HR-tech company
  • Prior experience managing globally distributed teams (e.g., India-based BDR/SDR organizations)
  • Familiarity with sales methodologies like SPICED or MEDDIC

What You'll Gain
  • Ownership of Netchex's full-funnel demand engine - spanning marketing, partnerships, and outbound - at a high-growth SaaS company
  • Direct partnership with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and executive leadership on go-to-market strategy
  • The opportunity to build and scale three connected revenue-generating functions under one unified strategy
  • A high-visibility seat shaping Netchex's growth trajectory as the company scales
