We are searching for the best talent for Engineering Technician III position.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to support manufacturing operations at the Raynham site and support supplier as it relates to process development for New product introductions. The technician will focus on developing machining processes for new products, process improvements, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiencies.

This position is highly hands-on and shop-floor focused. The Engineering technician will work directly with production teams to identify manufacturing waste, troubleshoot complex process issues, improve machining methods, and streamline production steps. The technician will also collaborate closely with Production Operations, Engineering, NC/CNC Programming, and other cross-functional teams to improve safety, quality, service, and cost.

You will be responsible for:

  • Develop complete CNC programs for complex multi-axis milling and lathe applications. Support low-volume/high-mix 5 axis machining programs for complex medical device components.
  • Utilize CAM software such as Uni graphics (preferred), SolidCAM, or Mastercam.
  • Drive production process design, tooling strategy, and machining optimization.
  • Support fixture design, GD&T interpretation, and troubleshooting of complex machining processes.
  • Support development and optimization of CNC/NC machining processes. Develop and implement process improvements to improve productivity, quality, cycle time, and throughput.
  • Spend significant time on the production/shop floor working directly with Engineering, operations and production associates.
  • Review and evaluate existing machining and manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, waste, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Support continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and operational excellence initiatives. Improve process capability, production scalability, and manufacturing efficiency. Analyze machining processes, tooling, work methods, setups, and processing steps to identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with machinists, NC programmers, Quality Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production Supervisors to resolve production problems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex manufacturing and machining issues affecting production.
  • Lead cost-reduction and efficiency improvement projects and demonstrate measurable results.
  • Identify and eliminate unnecessary processing steps and manufacturing waste.
  • Communicate manufacturing issues, improvement plans, and results to engineering.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education

  • High school degree along with CNC program creation and CNC equipment setup experience is required.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • Consistent track record in developing CNC programs for complex geometries is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years experience as Engineering Technician is required.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry and/or Medical Device company is preferred.
  • Direct experience with machined-part manufacturing.
  • Experience working directly in a production/manufacturing shop-floor environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cost-reduction, efficiency, or process-improvement projects with measurable/tangible results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with machinists and production personnel.
  • Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing problems and develop practical solutions.
  • Role requires on-site presence, 5 days a week.

$55,000.00 - $88,550.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
This position is eligible to participate in the Company's long-term incentive program.
Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:
Vacation -120 hours per calendar year
