  • Provide leadership by efficiently coordinating and executing workflow throughout the warehouse, while prioritizing safety, sanitation, cost control, productivity, accuracy, teamwork, and customer satisfaction in alignment with facility goals.
  • Serve as a visible leader within the Cold Crew, fostering positive relationships with staff and upholding company culture.
  • Advise and participate in employment-related decisions including but not limited to hiring, promoting, and/or terminations.
  • Prioritize, supervise, and direct various warehouse tasks, customer requests, and allocate the necessary labor to fulfill those tasks.
  • Determine if overtime is necessary and seek additional approval from management as needed.
  • Supervise, manage, and respond to incidents, injuries, and near-misses by conducting follow-up investigations and logging reports into the safety tracking system.
  • Participate in the corrective action process and address interpersonal issues for team members as they arise while seeking guidance from upper management and HR when necessary.
  • Supervise and continuously improve labor efficiency through coaching, feedback, and training initiatives.
  • Approve timecards, assist with scheduling, and managing time-off requests.
  • Oversee and conduct performance reviews of team members, ensuring clear and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee, direct, and ensure adherence to good warehousing practices, food safety standards, customer SOPs, and inventory accuracy, while maintaining an inspection-ready facility.
  • Act as a liaison between warehouse staff and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to manage truck docks, call trailers in and out, and direct the flow of pallets in and out of storage areas.
  • Perform tasks within the Warehouse Management System (WMS), that track and maintain management decisions including assigning doors, directing tasks, managing inventory, and addressing exceptions.
  • Manage and troubleshoot issues within the warehouse, collaborating with co-workers to resolve challenges efficiently.
  • Act as the escalation point for various matters, resolving issues as needed.
  • Occasionally perform Warehouse Associate and Lead duties as necessary based on business demands.

Experience
  • Warehouse Supervision and operations, preferably in a food or temperature-controlled environment
  • Radio frequency and other warehouse computer applications including MS Office Suite
  • Detail and customer service oriented.
  • Planning, organizing, professional written and oral communication, problem solving, decision making, excellent mathematical skills
  • Must be able to consistently lead and influence others to take positive action.
  • Handle multiple high priority tasks in a fast-paced team environment and requires the ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
