We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional who has a passion for both people and numbers. This role is ideal for individuals interested in developing deep expertise in commercial real estate valuation, underwriting, and financial analysis. This position offers a structured path toward becoming a Certified General Appraiser and developing expertise in institutional commercial real estate valuation.

Analysts receive handsโ€‘on training, mentorship from senior professionals, and exposure to a wide range of property types including office, industrial, multifamily, retail, hospitality, and specialty assets. While we welcome applicants from a variety of academic backgrounds, those studying Real Estate, Business, Finance, or related fields tend to align most closely with the nature of the work.

JOB LOCATION

Candidates for this role should reside in the Dallas, TX metro area.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Learn and understand the market fundamentals of the CRE industry
  • Develop financial models used to value institutional commercial real estate
  • Conduct market and property research through market participant surveys
  • Database entry of sale, rent, lease and income & expense comparables
  • Comparison analysis of rent, lease and sale comparables
  • Analyze rent rolls and leases
  • Analyze cash flows using a discounted cash flow analysis
  • Take professional education classes towards appraisal licensure

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent communication, written, and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel, including the ability to navigate spreadsheets efficiently, edit formatting/worksheets, and efficiently enter/manipulate data
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field
  • Advanced analytical & modeling expertise, including a working knowledge of Argus a plus
  • 2+ years of commercial real estate valuation experience a plus

PREFERRED

  • Major or minor in Real Estate, Business, or Accounting. Other majors are welcome to apply, especially if they demonstrate a strong interest in real estate appraisal
  • Experience in conducting research through county records, GIS mapping, Costar, LandVision, NIC MAP, or other related industry software
