Job description

The Regional Collision Director (RCD) acts under the authority of the Region Vice President of After-Sales (RVPAS) and is responsible to the RVPAS for the effective operations of all collision activities within the Region. The RCD is the focal point for collision operations related activity.The Regional Collision Director (RCD) acts under the authority of the Market President and is responsible for the effective operations of all collision activities within the market. The RCD is the focal point for collision operations related activity. Working through the leadership infrastructure he/she is accountable for the financial performance, coordinated marketing, customer relations, insurer relations, staffing, and overall coordination of the collision operations activities within the region. The RCD will collect and analyze data providing feedback and recommendations for improvement to the Market President as well as the Collision Operations Director as well as the President of After Sales.The Key Evaluation Criteria: regional collision operations financial performance, customer satisfaction, compliance to national and regional initiatives.Job Responsibilities:Oversee daily operations of all collision centers in the DFW and Denver Colorado market, ensuring they meet company standards for quality, safety, productivity, and profitability.Lead, mentor, and develop collision center managers and staff, fostering a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.Monitor financial performance and implement action plans to achieve revenue, gross profit, and EBITDA targets.Ensure adherence to OEM certifications, insurance DRP (Direct Repair Program) agreements, and local/state regulations.Analyze KPIs, operational data, and customer feedback to identify trends and areas for improvement.Partner with HR, Safety, and Training departments to ensure appropriate staffing levels, compliance, and employee development.Collaborate with the corporate leadership team on regional strategies, marketing initiatives, and business growth opportunities.Lead regional meetings and performance reviews, establishing clear expectations and operational goals.Drive customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and implementing improvement initiatives.Interact with business unit through in-store visits, telephone, and written correspondencesFacilitate regional and market relationships and referrals and ensure customer issue resolutionAct as the “primary” point of contact” between regional operations and insurersDevelop succession plan within the region for continuous collision operationsOversee the collective recruiting, selection, and staffing effort of collision in the regionEvaluate and coordinate collision training initiativesParticipate in the annual budget preparation and validate its premise with quantifiable data and initiativesCompliance and reporting of any activity that would expose the corporation to avoidable riskRecognition and team building.Mandatory Qualifications:High School graduate or equivalentMinimum >4 years of collision repair management experience (Dealership experience preferred), with > 3 years in a regional or multi-store management role.Valid drivers licensePrior managerial accounting & P/L responsibilityBusiness unit operational experience in a leadership roleReside in primary region of responsibilityPreferred Qualifications:Industry knowledge (operations, mgmt., insurer relations, etc.,)Ability to analyze and interpret financial operating reportsExperience in Service, Parts, and/or Collision business operationsCurrent in industry trends, process, and proceduresExposure to advanced production principlesDemonstrated communications skills, both written and oralDemonstrated project management, presentation, and training skillsProficient in Microsoft Office applicationsAutoNation is an equal opportunity employer and a drug-free workplace.Job Type: Full-timePay: $125,000.00 - $150,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Bonus payExperience:Collision Body Shop Management: 5 years (Preferred)Willingness to travel:50% (Preferred)Work Location: In personExciting Benefits and Perks Await You:Competitive compensation and 401k matchingEnjoy a healthy work-life balance with insurance plans (health, dental, vision) and maternity benefits.Associate purchase and discount programs for new and pre-owned vehicles, services, parts, collision, accessories, and AutoGearAccess amazing deals and discounts through YouDecide, a website with offers from top providers and retailersJoin our DRVPNK mission to raise and donate millions of dollars to cancer research and treatment, partnering with cancer charities nationwideAutoNation is one of the largest automotive retailers in the United States, offering innovative products, exceptional services, and comprehensive solutions, empowering our customers to make the best decisions for their needs.
