Position Summary:
Steel Tech USA is seeking an experienced Sales Director to lead national business development and drive adoption of our prefabricated steel framing systems. This is a high-impact, high-travel role for a sales leader who knows construction from the inside โ€” someone who has walked job sites, understands project timelines and trades, and can speak credibly with developers, general contractors, architects, and owners across the country.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ย Develop and execute a national sales strategy to grow revenue and market share for Steel Tech USA's steel framing systems.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of relationships with developers, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
  • Travel extensively (75%+) to job sites, client offices, project walkthroughs, and industry events across the U.S.
  • Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, proposal development, pricing and contract negotiation, and deal close.
  • Represent Steel Tech USA at industry trade shows, conferences, and association events.
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are accurately scoped and buildable.
  • Report on pipeline, forecasts, and sales performance to executive leadership.
  • Help build and mentor a regional sales team as the company scales.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of sales leadership experience, with a background in construction, building materials, or a related industry.
  • Hands-on knowledge of construction processes, project timelines, and the GC/developer/architect ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of closing large, complex deals in a B2B construction sales environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (75%+), including overnight and multi-day trips.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background and job-site safety checks.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience selling prefabricated, modular, or light-gauge steel building systems.
  • Existing network of relationships with developers, general contractors, or architecture firms.
  • Familiarity with cold-formed steel framing or comparable building technologies.
