Job description

Job Store Staffing is partnering with a manufacturing company in Colorado Springs to hire a skilled, detail-oriented Precision CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator for a direct-hire role. You will interpret engineering drawings, set up equipment, and fabricate high-tolerance metal parts using CNC press brakes, punch presses, and laser cutters.

Job Title: Precision CNC Sheet Metal Fabricator

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $30.00 / hour (DOE)

Schedule: Monday – Friday (7:30 AM – 4:00 PM OR 1:30 PM – 9:00 PM)

What You’ll Do

  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, work orders, and engineering specifications.

  • Operate and perform setups on machinery, including CNC press brakes, CNC laser cutters, shears, hardware insertion tools, and CNC punch presses.

  • Perform layout, cutting, bending, forming, and assembly on aluminum and mild steel to meet tight dimensional tolerances.

  • Conduct in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools.

  • Use basic hand tools including pneumatic riveters, belt sanders, drills, and taps.

  • Collaborate with quality control and engineering teams to troubleshoot fabrication issues.

  • Perform routine machine maintenance and adhere to safety standards.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 2 to 5+ years of precision sheet metal fabrication experience.

  • High proficiency in reading mechanical drawings and understanding material gauges/methods.

  • Hands-on skill with measurement tools, hand tools, and power equipment.

  • Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for full shifts.

  • Strong self-management skills and strict attention to detail.

  • Preferred: Vocational/technical certification, experience with TRUMPF machinery, machine file software familiarity, tooling selection expertise, or background in aerospace, medical, or electronics standards.
