Position Summary
K&I Healthcare Services, LLC is seeking a Clinical Director of Operations to provide unified clinical leadership and day-to-day operational oversight across our CARF-accredited Outpatient Mental Health Clinics (OMHC). This role blends the clinical supervision responsibilities of a traditional Clinical Director with operational accountability for staffing, compliance, and program performance across multiple Maryland locations. The ideal candidate is a Board-approved clinical supervisor with a demonstrated ability to manage cross-site teams, ensure COMAR and HIPAA compliance, and translate clinical vision into consistent, measurable operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Supervision
โ€ข Provide full-range clinical supervision (individual and group) to assigned therapists and interns.
โ€ข Review therapist notes, treatment plans, and clinical documentation for compliance with COMAR and HIPAA regulations.
โ€ข Develop, plan, and implement strategies for clinical program continuation and growth across all sites.
โ€ข Identify and implement evidence-based practices; provide clinical training to staff and interns.
โ€ข Serve as a Board-approved LCPC/LCSW-C supervisor for clinicians pursuing full licensure.
Operations & Multi-Site Management
โ€ข Oversee daily clinical operations across Baltimore, Waldorf, and Landover locations, ensuring consistent quality of care and adherence to agency policy.
โ€ข Partner with HR and site leadership on staffing plans, caseload distribution, and workflow standardization across locations.
โ€ข Monitor key operational metrics (utilization, documentation timeliness, caseload balance, client retention) and report findings to the Co-CEOs.
โ€ข Coordinate periodic program reviews for compliance with COMAR, CARF accreditation standards, corporate policy, and employment contracts.
โ€ข Support budget input and resource planning for the clinical department in collaboration with executive leadership.
โ€ข Organize and lead clinical training sessions, staff meetings, and interdisciplinary coordination across sites.
People Leadership
โ€ข Provide personnel and clinical supervision to clinical staff; foster a culture aligned with K&I's mission and values.
โ€ข Collaborate with other Clinical Supervisors and Associate Directors on cross-site initiatives.
โ€ข Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of clinical staff in partnership with HR.
Qualifications
โ€ข Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field (Required).
โ€ข Active Maryland licensure as LCPC, LCSW-C, or LPC (Required); Board-approved supervisor status strongly preferred.
โ€ข 3+ years of supervisory experience; 3+ years of leadership/program management experience (Preferred).
โ€ข Prior experience in a high-volume outpatient practice, ideally across multiple sites.
โ€ข Strong working knowledge of Maryland behavioral health law, COMAR regulations, and HIPAA requirements.
โ€ข Demonstrated ability to generate and sustain revenue for clinical services.
โ€ข Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and clinical/EHR databases.
โ€ข Ability to work flexible hours and travel between Baltimore, Waldorf, and Landover as needed.
โ€ข Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively across a multicultural, community-based organization.
