Position Description:

We are looking for a Construction Engineer to join our Construction team in our Omaha office. Candidates must have 5+ years of experience, a bachelor's degree in civil or construction engineering, with experience on heavy civil type work including tunnel, structural concrete and excavation.
 
Typical Responsibilities:
• Interpret project plans and specifications
• Schedule and coordinate inspection, testing and survey staff.
• Conduct field inspections and maintain work item quantities
• Maintain project files and record drawings
• Prepare construction reports
• Perform soil erosion control and sediment control inspections
• Review technical data for adherence with project requirements
• Assist with preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities
• Assist with/review scope, budget and schedule of new project tasks.
• Monitor task budget and progress
• Prepare project status and other reports
• Assist in the preparation of proposals
• Assist Project Managers 
• Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre construction, seminars and/or training classes, etc. 
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil or construction engineering 
• Field experience in construction inspection 
 
Skills/Experince:
• Experience on heavy civil and tunnel work
• Valid driver’s license
• This position requires excellent organizational skills in order to accommodate multiple tasks simultaneously and excellent communications skills when dealing with all individuals at all levels
