Managing Director, Innovation Banking

What you'll do:

As a Managing Director in Innovation Banking, you'll be in a senior-level leadership position responsible for executing the division's strategic plan and guiding your team in its efforts to meet the Bank's annual growth and customer retention targets. You'll lead a group of Commercial Bankers, Business Development Officers, and Portfolio Management staff to expand our market share, grow the portfolio, and deepen the relationship with our customers. You'll be responsible for leading the growth and development of the team's general portfolio of the Private Banking team, as part of the greater Regional Banking business line. While Senior Directors spend a significant portion of their time working their own network and top-tier customers in the portfolio, much of your time will be devoted to supporting your team in credit structuring discussions, portfolio health management, and market dynamics responsiveness.
  • Responsible for supporting the Head of Innnovation Banking in executing the Bank's strategic plan, with specific focus of leading the efforts to grow the loan and deposit portfolio of the assigned region or business line.
  • They are measured on their team's success in meeting sales objectives, portfolio health, and management of market dynamics.
  • Executes the tactical strategy outlined by the Head of Innovation Banking regarding transaction pitches and negotiation of term sheets. Guides the credit structuring development process, customer assessment, and presentation to senior and divisional loan committees.
  • Responsible for the team's success in managing portfolio health, and the team's efforts to pro-actively address deteriorating loan performance, mitigating risk from market developments, complications in service delivery, and product adoption.
  • Fosters strong, healthy working relationships with executive and senior leaders in partner departments (including Credit Administration, Risk Management/Compliance, Loan Administration, and other internal support departments, and third-party services), and facilitates team's contribution to and compliance with technical processes and requirements, risk mitigation, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Lead and develop a team; responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, training and development.

What you'll need:

  • 9+ years of related experience or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, pricing dynamics and has market specific awareness.

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $233,000.00 - $300,185.00 for Beverly Hills, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned and restricted stock.
