Job description

American Traveler is hiring a Case Management RN for a hospital case management role requiring 3+ years of hospital case management experience and a compact or PA RN license.
Job Details
• Hospital-based Case Management unit,
• Adult and geriatric patient population on MS/MS Tele units,
• Approximately 25 cases per day,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM,
• No weekend or on-call requirements,
• 1 holiday coverage required,
• May float to other units depending on need,
• Uses Epic charting system,
• Business casual dress code with white lab coat required,
Job Requirements
• Active RN license (Compact or PA) required at time of consideration,
• BLS certification required,
• BSN required,
• 3+ years of hospital case management and discharge planning experience required,
• Experience with InterQual and Milliman utilization review criteria required,
• Knowledge of utilization review processes including admission criteria, appeals and denials, concurrent review, and medical necessity determinations,
• Familiarity with regulatory standards such as CMS, HIPAA, ICD-10, DRG, and Joint Commission requirements,
• PA fingerprint clearance and Childline clearance required, which may involve travel and processing time,
• Valid references and copies of certifications required for consideration,
Additional Information
• Coordinate patient care, discharge planning, and utilization review activities for assigned caseload,
• Apply InterQual and Milliman guidelines to support admission and continued stay reviews,
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure regulatory compliance and quality care standards,
• RTO must be submitted prior to consideration; time off requests after submission will not be accommodated,
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated,
• Candidates residing within 50 miles are considered local and may be offered a different pay rate,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing,
• Modules completed within the first 8 hours of orientation are non-billable
